Last year at the iDate2005 conference in Hong Kong, it was confirmed that the Far East/Asian market for online dating stands to be one of the most prolific and perhaps the largest over the next decade. Within certain countries, it currently has the largest mobile dating useage. More than Europe, the Far East is an untapped market for the Internet Dating and Online Personals Industry. With most of the industry still concentrated on a rapidly maturing market share in North America, few companies have actively pursued this market for singles or social networking.
Our 8th Internet Dating Conference once again chose to be ahead of the curve for the industry and provide an event in Beijing on Thursday and Friday, May 18-19, 2006. While it will cover the Internet Dating and Social Networking business, the iDate2006 Beijing event will also focus on Europe. The idate2006 Beijing event will focus mostly on the Chinese market for several reasons. While the market size is obvious, the uneven ratio of men to women being born has been documented for decades. (see here for one example). There will be a strong and robust internet market in the future for Chinese marriages and relationships.
Similar to the Miami event in January, this two day Asian Internet Dating Conference will consist of morning seminars and lectures, followed by afternoon workshops. The workshops will consist of a series of 90 minute intensive lectures that are designed to improve internet dating business performance. Most presentations will focus on increasing Far East web traffic and conversion rates. Language issues, cultural differences, technological developments and preferences for specific European countries will be covered at this event. Dating industry executives, marketing representatives, technology executives, affiliates and affiliate managers all stand to learn a great deal in these workshops and are welcome to interject their questions at anytime. Significant time will exist for networking as well.
